NFL targets a turnover of Rs. 13,500 crore in FY 2019-20

New Delhi:National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) recently has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Department of Fertilizers, Government of India, for the financial year 2019-20. Under the MoU, the company has been given a target of sales turnover of Rs.13,500 crore, which is 10% higher than the previous year.
The MoU was entered into between Chhabilendra Roul, Secretary (Fertilizers) and Manoj Mishra, C&MD,NFL in the presence of senior officials of the Department of Fertilizers and NFL.The MoU lays stress, inter alia, on financial performance, growth in sale of DAP, Compost and Certified Seeds under Seeds Multiplication Programme.It is worth mentioning here that NFL has registered its highest-ever urea production of 38.59 Lakh MT and biggest-ever total fertilizers sale of 48.95 Lakh MT in 2018-19. With this, the turnover of company soared to Rs. 12,245 crore from Rs. 8,954 crore in 2017-18.
