NHDC set the record of Power Generation in the month of September 2020. Total hydropower generation of 1050.5837 MU was generated by NHDC in September 2020, which is the record power generation in any month so far. Earlier, a record month of maximum power generation of 1035.46 MU was recorded in August 2016. Thus, the corporation has generated 2507.9465 MU in the financial year 2020-21 till 30.09.2020.

This achievement has been made possible due to NHDC provide 100% 24 x 7 machines ailability of power stations despite the challenges of pandemic Covid-19. The Managing Director of the Corporation A.K. Mishra congratulated all the personnel posted in the power house for this achievement.

NHDC Limited is the state’s leading hydropower generating company which is a joint venture of NHPC Limited & Government of Madhya Pradesh. It was established in the year 2000. Currently, two power stations of NHDC Limited are Indira Sagar Power Station (1000 MW) and Omkareshwar Power Station (520 MW) is in operation in Khandwa district of the state. 100% power produced from this is supplied to Madhya Pradesh.
