NHPC held its 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 28, 2024, through video conferencing from its Corporate Headquarters, Faridabad. The Members of the Company inter alia considered the proposal to declare a final dividend of Rs 0.50/- per equity share for the year 2023-24, which will be an interim dividend of Rs 1.40/- per equity share paid in March 2024. This is in addition to dividends.

R.K. Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC addressed the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting. NHPC Board Member R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance),Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel),Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects) and independent directors Dr. Uday Sakharam Nirgudkar, Prof. (Dr.) Amit Kansal, Prof. (Dr.) Rashmi Sharma Rawal, GG Joseph, Premkumar Govardhanan and Smt. Rupa Deb, Company Secretary, NHPC were also present in the meeting.Addressing on this occasion R.K. Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC, said, “Hydropower plays a vital role in balancing the grid and meeting peak demand”. He further said that NHPC is actively constructing hydroelectric and renewable energy projects of more than 10,000 MW installed capacity, which includes 2880 MW Dibang Multipurpose Project, 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project and 800 MW Parbati-II Hydroelectric Project.
CMD, NHPC also said that NHPC is committed to deliver sustainable energy solutions by overcoming real challenges. Various queries/doubts of the members regarding the performance of the company were also resolved in the Annual General Meeting.
