New Delhi:Considering the enormity of the coronavirus outbreak in India, ONGC is urging all its employees, contractual staffs, secondary workforce and stakeholders to avail the newly launched Aarogya Setu application. To combat the pandemic of COVID-19, the government has recently launched the unique application, which will contain a real-time database of over 1.3 billion Indian citizens.

Through this, the government aims at effectively monitoring the spread of the novel coronavirus, so that necessary and timely steps can be taken to control it.

Through SMS to all employees of ONGC, CMD Shashi Shanker said, “I recommend Aarogya Setu app to fight against COVID-19. All principal employees are requested to forward Aarogya Setu message to the secondary workforce under their control.”

Urging citizens to avail the application, Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi on 8 April 2020, tweeted, “Aarogya Setu is an important step in our fight against COVID-19. By leveraging technology, it provides important information. As more and more people use it, its effectiveness will increase. I urge you all to download it.”

Among several initiatives taken by the government to combat the novel virus, the AAROGYASETU App is expected to be of tremendous benefit. The application is available in 11 languages on both Android and iOS operating systems.
