Narender Modi Government in a fresh development has given an extension to the Cabinet Secretary PK Sinha for a further period of one year. PK Sinna is 1977 batch IAS Officer of UP cadre.
Sinha’s extension has ended the most likely incumbent of Cab Sec. post Hasmukh Adhia, 1981 batch IAS Officer of Gujarat cadre, presently posted as Secretary in the Finance Ministry, It was much expected for Adhia to get Cab. Sec. post before he retires on 3 Nov. 2008. It’s an eye opener for those who believe in the power corridors that Gujarat bureaucracy has an edge over other states in appoitments
