R.K. Dutta, 1981 batch IPS officer of Karnataka cadre will be new Director General of Police of Karnataka. Known as
a prominent and upright IPS officer Dutta was front runner for the post of CBI Chief, he had been Special Director of CBI before he was made Special Secretary in MHA. R K Dutta is returning to the parent Karnataka cadre as DGP. he is expected take over as new DGP of the state on January 31.
