Sriram Taranikanti to continue as upgraded Director, LBSNAA till July 2026
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension in temporary upgradation of the post of Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary. The post, presently held by Sriram Taranikanti, IAS (TR:92), will remain upgraded until 31 July 2026.

Shahi Ranjan Kumar’s tenure as upgraded UPSC Secretary extended till September 2026
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension in temporary upgradation of the post of Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, from the level of Additional Secretary to that of Secretary. The post, held by Shahi Ranjan Kumar, IAS (TR:92), will remain upgraded until 3 September 2026.

Sanjay Rastogi to serve in upgraded role in Youth Affairs & Sports till August 2026
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has extended the temporary upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor to the level of Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. Sanjay Rastogi, IAS (OR:91), will continue in the upgraded post until 11 August 2026.

Nitishwar Kumar’s upgraded post in Women & Child Development extended till September 2026
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension in temporary upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor to the level of Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Women & Child Development. The post, held by Nitishwar Kumar, IAS (UP:96), will remain upgraded until 30 September 2026.

Amitesh Kumar Sinha to continue as upgraded Additional Secretary in MeitY till August 2026
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has extended the temporary upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. Amitesh Kumar Sinha, IRAS:97, will continue in the upgraded role until 9 August 2026.
