The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Sarit Maheshwari for appointment as Managing Director of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), following interviews with eligible candidates.

Maheshwari is currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of NTPC Green Energy Limited, Greater Noida, under NTPC Limited. His existing leadership role in the renewable energy arm of the power major gives him significant experience in steering the company’s clean energy growth and expansion.

The PESB recommendation will now move through the prescribed government approval process before the appointment is formally notified. The selection comes as NTPC continues to strengthen its renewable energy portfolio and expand its presence in India’s rapidly growing clean energy sector.
