THE NEWSMAN OF INDIA.COM | The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the assignment of additional charge of Director General, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), to Sanjay Singhal, IPS (UP:1993), Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). He will assume the additional responsibility following the superannuation of Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor, IPS (HY:1990), on October 31, 2026. Singhal will hold the charge until the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The decision was conveyed through an Office Memorandum issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on October 27, 2026.
