Government of Chhattisgarh in association with CNBC-Awaaz (India’s leading business and financial news network) announced the 1st CNBC-AWAAZ CEO Awards 2018. Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals limited (GNFC) has been awarded with CNBC-AWAAZ CEO Award for “Outstanding Business Growth” at the first edition of the CNBC-AWAAZ CEO Awards.

GNFC’s award is a reflection of its superlative performance in a very competitive environment, with impeccable credentials and innovative approach. Dr. Raman Singh,Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh who graced the award ceremony as the Chief Guest, presented the CNBC-AWAAZ CEO award to Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta IAS, Managing Director of GNFC Ltd.

CNBC Editorial Research team and a panel of 6 major Jury members like Keki Mistry, Vice Chairman & CEO of HDFC Bank; Janmajay Sinha, Head Boston Consulting Group; & Ramdev Agarwal, Founder Motilal Oswal Group; jointly researched and selected nominee’s based on a very stringent and multi-layered evaluation process, from all the listed companies of India. The top 10 of the nominees were chosen to honour the exceptional leaders, who are creating new benchmarks through their transformational leadership qualities.

Commenting on this honour, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta IAS said, “The CNBC- Awaaz CEO award is a reinforcement of faith in our commitment to innovation in our product portfolio, cost optimisation and socially responsible business model. This was possible because of the policies introduced by our Prime Minister and Gujarat’s current chief minister who has carried forward the vision of reposing faith in industries.”

Other dignitaries who won the award were: Chandra Shekhar Ghosh CEO – Bandhan Bank, Dr. Anand Agarwal CEO – Sterlite Industries , M S Unnikrishnan CEO – Thermax, and Suneeta Reddy Managing Director – Apollo healthcare, amongst others.

The CNBC-AWAAZ CEO Awards 2018 have been instituted to honour India’s Most Powerful Corporate Leaders. The Awards are a tribute to entrepreneurship, strategic vision and transformational leadership, honouring doers and performers, disruptors and innovators, pioneers and pathbreakers.
