HPC now to meet again for third time on 4th Jan., on CBI Chief selection, no decision taken in today’s meeting

The second selection committee meet led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi consecutively ended without selecting any name for the next CBI Director, as per reports no decision on the CBI Director was taken at the meeting. Now HPC will meet for third time on 4th January 2019.
Meanwhile a bench comprising justices Arun Mishra and Naveen Sinha said the post of CBI director was sensitive and the government should have appointed a regular director by now. list of eligible officers along with their dossiers was shared with the panel members. But no decision has been taken so far,” an official said requesting anonymity.
