President of India appoints Sunil Arora as the Chief Election Commissioner of India

The President is pleased to appoint the senior–most Election Commissioner,Sunil Arora as the Chief Election Commissioner in the Election Commission. Sunil Arora will assume the charge of office of the Chief Election Commissioner with effect from the 2nd December, 2018 vice Shri Om Prakash Rawat consequent upon his demitting the Office of the Chief Election Commissioner on the 1st December, 2018.
