(SECL) has been conferred with with best CFO Awards.S M Choudhary received the award during the 15th ICAI Awards and Leadership Summit, 2022 at New Delhi. S M Choudhary joined as Director (Finance) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of South Eastern Coalfields Limited on 12.10.2019. Choudhary is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant and Company Secretary; and is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has also completed Certified Courses on IFRS and Indirect Taxes from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He has wide experience of over 30 years and has served the Coal Industry in different capacities. SM Choudhary had started his career from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) and worked in various capacities in different finance functions viz. Accounts & Audit, Costing & Budgeting, Internal Audit, Taxation, Treasury and Forex Management, etc. He has also worked as Treasury Head in Coal India Limited HQ, Kolkata. SM Choudhary is a keen analyst, strategist and tactician, and has consistent record of delivering extraordinary results in growth, revenue, operational performance and profitability. Choudhary has been conferred with Special Achievement Award by CIL for formulating unique Financial Scheme related to Mine Closure Plan. SM Choudhary has also been honored by the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India (ICAI) with Best CA-CFO Award in PSU sector for 2017. Choudhary is associated with various professional bodies in various capacities.
