SAIL wins Golden Peacock Award for Corporate Governance

The Maharatna Company Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has bagged the prestigious Golden Peacock Award for Corporate Governance instituted by the Institute of Directors, India for the year 2016. Ashwini Kumar, CEO, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) received the award on behalf of SAIL during the 16th London Global Convention on Corporate Governance and Sustainability held in London recently.
SAIL was presented the award on account of its exemplary performance in the field of Corporate Governance that is for balancing the interests of all the stakeholders of the Company namely shareholders, management, customers, suppliers, financiers, government and the community. The event was attended by leaders, policy makers, academicians, jurists and social thinkers, professionals in business, finance, corporate governance and sustainability from across the world.
