The Gujarat Government, in coordination with its Industry Department, is gearing up to host the 11th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit from January 10 to 12, 2027, at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. Preparations are focused on positioning the state as one of the world’s leading destinations for investment, manufacturing, innovation and emerging technologies.

The flagship investment summit was conceptualised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2003, when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, with the vision of positioning the state as a preferred global investment destination. Over the years, it has evolved from an Investor Summit into a major international platform for investment promotion, business networking and strategic partnerships, bringing together governments, business leaders, investors, innovators, policymakers and thought leaders.

The forthcoming edition is expected to carry this legacy forward with a renewed focus on emerging sectors and future-ready industries. Gujarat today occupies a significant position in India’s economic transformation, driven by its expanding manufacturing ecosystem, infrastructure development, global trade connectivity, entrepreneurial environment and growing emphasis on digital excellence.

A key focus of the 2027 Summit will be new-age industries, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, data centres, aerospace and defence. These sectors are increasingly important to India’s ambition of becoming a globally competitive manufacturing and technology hub. Gujarat’s infrastructure, industrial corridors, ports, logistics network and skilled workforce provide an important foundation for attracting investments in these strategic areas.

The Summit’s vision also extends beyond investment commitments. Its broader development impact encompasses infrastructure creation, entrepreneurship, technological advancement, employment generation, skill development and inclusive socio-economic progress across the state. Sustainability and responsible industrial growth are also expected to remain important elements of Gujarat’s development agenda.

As India moves towards the national vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047, Gujarat is seeking to strengthen its role as a growth engine by creating fresh opportunities for domestic and international investors. The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027 is expected to provide a significant platform for exploring new partnerships, showcasing investment opportunities and building connections between global businesses and India’s expanding economy.

With the Industry Department playing a central role in coordinating the preparations, the Gujarat Government is looking to make the forthcoming Summit another milestone in the state’s journey from an investment destination to a global hub of innovation, manufacturing and sustainable development.
