New Delhi, 16 th August, 2015, Airports Authority of India celebrated 70 th Independence Day with full zeal and gusto at all the 125 airports across the country. Some of the airports were decorated creating excellent lighting effects with tri-colour lights depicting the tricolor of National Flag. Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra, IAS, Chairman, Airports Authority of India hoisted the National Flag at New ATC Complex at IGI Airport, New Delhi. The National anthem was sung by all. The students of AAI Kendriya Vidhyalaya gave exciting performance on the patriotic theme, enthralling audience.

Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra, IAS, Chairman, AAI, while addressing the members pressed satisfaction that AAI is continuously improving the infrastructure in the Civil Aviation Sector and urged all to uphold the culture of working with excellence and dedication for contributing towards country’s growth, as the best way to serve the nation is by fulfilling duties sincerely. Chairman, AAI also unfurled the National Flag at AAI Residential Colony, New Delhi.Anuj Aggarwal, Member (HR), AAI appreciated the RWA for organizing the function. After the Independence Day Celebration, Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra, IAS, Chairman, AAI and Anuj Aggarwal, Member (HR), AAI planted tree sapling as a good gesture towards environmental protection.
